Pita Bread
Makes 8 pitas
- 3 cups flour
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar or honey
- 1 packet (2 tsp yeast)
- 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Combine Ingredients
- Knead 10 min
- Let rise 90 min
- Punch down and divide 8 ways
- Let rest 20 min
- Roll ⅛ to ¼ inch thick
- Spray baking surface (stone or sheet) with water mist (optional)
- Bake 550° for 3-5 minutes
